One Life to Live

After a tense Friday drama club production, Sage headed home and quickly readied herself for a date with Tevin. Today was the annual Night On The Town event so everything was free. Sage and Tevin had talked while at school agreeing to meet up at a steakhouse in NewCrest. Sage figured meeting up was best, as Paka was in no mood to try and play nice today. He and Chantel had been arguing and it was beginning to take its toll. Sage also knew this meant that her parents were going to be a lot less tolerant of her antics, but being a teen she decided she'd worry about the consequences later.

Sage showed up to the restaurant and the two decided to take a cozy little table at the top of the stairs in the steakhouse where it was quiet and no one else to bother them. Sage's phone went off just as they reached the table. She took it out her coat pocket to see who it was and it was Chantel reminding her of curfew. She decided to ignore the message and sat down to look at the menu before the two decided to order. Tevin complimented her and the two flirted quite a bit. Luckily, Sage had secretly purchased and started taking birth control pills. She and her parents had, had numerous talks though that last one with Paka was far more embarassing than anyone before. She was just happy that she was at least trying to be responsible.

After dinner at the steakhouse, Tevin and Sage went to the Island Bluffs in Windenburg and spent the rest of the night talking and flirting. They ended up watching the sunrise as they also got a little intimate with one another in front of the fire. Sage was on cloud nine and didn't want to leave Tevin. They finally said their goodbyes and Sage arrived  home in a very happy mood. It lasted until she stepped into house. No sooner had she set foot in the house than Chantel came around the corner yelling at her daughter for missing curfew and staying out all night! Chantel was furious and Sage was grounded for the rest of the weekend. Sage went upstairs immediately to shower and brush her teeth before taking a nap to catch up on her sleep a bit. Before laying down for her nap she text Tevin a quick "I love you."

Sage decided to not test her parents anger and just stay inside during the weekend and work on creating knits for her Plopsy store. The next week was Harvestfest which also meant Harvestfest Break started Wednesday so she only had to get through the weekend and two school days. She was able to text Tevin, talk on the phone and the computer so it wasn't too bad.

Very early Monday morning Sage was awakened by a very frightened Gia who said she saw a monster under her bed. Sage, being the best big sister, went to Gia's room and sprayed a magic spray that would kill any monsters living under the bed. Then, she put Gia back to sleep just as the first snow of the season started to fall. Gia, of course, just had to go outside and see it. Sage managed to wrangle her back into bed though. A few moments later Chantel got up needing to go to the bathroom, but she was also in a lot of pain. Sage feared another miscarriage was happening, but with Chantel telling her not to worry she went back to her room and fell asleep. After using the restroom Chantel went back to sleep for a few hours not waking again until around 7am. Sage and Gia had both gone to bed around 10pm Sunday, but they were exhausted for some reason and Paka decided to let them sleep in since they had a break coming in a few days. He knew they wouldn't be missing anything new at school. Around 7:30am, Chantel was still in pain and asked Paka to take her to the hospital. It was happening again. They were at the hospital for about 2 hours as they waited for the doctors to release Chantel after officially declaring a miscarriage of what would have been their little girl. Paka had planned to name her Serenity Grace. After arriving home Chantel collapsed suddenly from over-exhaustion and died. Paka pleaded with Grim as his daughters watched their mother helplessly. Grim denied Paka's plea and just like that Chantel was gone. Now Paka was mouring not only his baby girl, but the love of his life.

After hearing about her mother's passing, Tevin invited Chantel over to his place. Chantel was grateful for the escape from her depressing household. They were all sad and that made it really hard to want to be in the house. Again, she breaks curfew with no regard to the house rules, and Paka is really not in the mood to be disobeyed. Paka sits and waits for his eldest to walk through the door. As soon as he lays eyes on Sage he dishes out her punishment: no Computer, no leaving the house and no phone for one day. He also lectures her on responsibilities and what that means. Sage just better be glad that Paka doesn't know Tevin lives alone. He'd flip if he found out she was hanging out with a boy at a house with no supervision.

How far will Sage push Paka with her behavior?
