Makin' the Grade...Or Not?

Sawyer ended up partying hard and coming on to almost all of his roommates. Camryn ended up showing up and spent the night with Sawyer. She left early in the morning leaving Sawyer to sleep off his hangover. He eventually woke up at around 6pm with a raging headache. He showered to make himself feel a little more normal, but he still felt terrible. He was falling down drunk at one point and could not believe he let himself get that wasted.

Sawyer picked the wrong time to start enjoying college life to its fullest. He is now trying to finish his presentation, write a term paper that doesn't suck, and he has an exam in less than 12 hours in Beginning Neuropsychology which he hasn't studied for. Just when it couldn't get any worse,  his mother calls to check on him and wish him luck on his exams. Normally, he'd love to hear from his mom but today it is just adding on the stress. His grandmother and his mother both graduated with honors and now he fears he's barely passing. Sawyer heads to the Foxbury Commons and plays beer pong with Quintin Butterfield and Afu Hoapili, two of his soccer team teammates. Sawyer can't even think straight he's so disappointed with himself. He feels like he wants to throw up from the stress he's put himself under.

Before Sawyer can even blink the semester closes without him having done his presentation or submitting his term paper! He failed three of his four classes, and the one he didn't fail outright he received a D+ and is now on academic probation! Sawyer has two choices: 1. He can buckle down, study, and give 100% effort OR 2. he can continue partying and fail which will cause him to lose his scholarships which will mean pushing back his wedding and disappointing Camryn.

After several moments, he chooses the former and immediately starts working on doing better with Camryn and their future as motivation. He immediately gets a good rest and when he wakes up and starts his homework after breakfast. His class schedule is still heavy with four classes, but his times are much better and three of the classes are the ones he failed so he has a bit of an advantage there.

Sawyer's next semester flew by, but he did 100x better this time making a plan for homework and projects. The very last day he broke his arm playing in his last soccer match, but it was well worth it. He and his roommates crammed for finals over the weekend and hopefully they would all pass with flying colors when grades were released. He had invited Camryn over for some romantic time since he hadn't got to see her over the Winterfest holiday. He missed her and his family terribly so he took a break while studying to chat with her over the computer since it was very late. Camryn and Sawyer spent the afternoon together before he had to go to soccer practice. She was furious that he would go to soccer practice with an injury. She worries he will permanently hurt himself. Sunday, Sawyer was free from all projects and homework so he decided to ask Camryn on a beach date since they both love Sulani. Unfortunately, two of his roommates decided to tag along but they stayed away from the lovebirds which both Camryn and Sawyer were thankful for. They really needed their time and space together, especially since Sawyer had something serious to ask Camryn.

This semester was going to be his last on campus he wanted Camryn to live with him, but he also knew she came from a traditional family and that they might insist she be married first. Camryn told Sawyer that she would think it over. They spent a beautiful day on one of the isolated islands making love and playing in the water without a care. Sawyer felt so relieved of his stress that he was finally able to relax and enjoy the day.  Camryn left him on the beach as she had to leave to babysit her niece, but she felt good that Sawyer was smiling again.

Monday came and so did final exams. The good news, Sawyer got a B in one of his classes, the bad news is he still failed everything else! He is now being kicked out of the university and has been given 24 hours to pack up all his belongings and leave. Sawyer was depressed about school but he had tried his best and apparently, that was not good enough. He knew his mother would be upset, but she knew her son and she didn't worry that he would end up on his feet. The deadline came for Sawyer to leave and he decided to stay in a Sim B&B for a few days not too far from Camryn as he looked for a cheap apartment. His grandfather Paka told him if he needed any help to ask for a loan. His grandmother had earned a lot of money and made quite a name for herself as an artist when she was alive and Paka still had several pieces of hers that he was not willing to part with.

After three days of searching for apartments, Paka came to visit Sawyer to let him know of a nice starter home that had just gone up for sale in Willow Creek. Honestly, Sawyer was going to turn it down at first because he'd never wanted to live in Willow Creek, but when he thought about it, he couldn't imagine a better place for them to start their life together. His entire family, except his mother, was there and she'd never leave the home she shared with his father, she loved it too much.

Sawyer and Camryn moved in just before New Year's Day and modestly decorated their home with what little budget they had. Paka had gifted Sawyer a few thousand simoleons to ensure he had what the young couple had what they needed and the rest they put away for their wedding and honeymoon, but first Camryn's birthday party!

Just before her birthday, Camryn, went wedding dress shopping and tried on four amazing dresses.

It took a little time but she finally narrowed it down to THE DRESS after a few days of  going back and forth. She couldn't wait to walk down the aisle to Sawyer in it.

Camryn was going to just skip the party with the wedding and all, but Sawyer insisted she celebrates becoming a YA finally! **(Just a quick note, my game is modded and they met when they were both teens. Sawyer is also a YA and just aged up before Camryn) ** Miki, Camryn's sister-in-law was the first to show up and while he had Camryn's birthday cake in the over, Sawyer chatted with Miki for a bit about things and told her about his new job in conservation.

Everyone seemed to be enjoying the party, but Sage was particularly peeved at her nephew Otis for some reason. Sawyer spotted them getting into a heated discussion earlier, but he had no clue what it was about. He only knew his mother was angry.

Pretty soon it was time to call an end to the party. Sawyer had to get up for work the next day and Camryn was still battling a little bit of a throat illness, so she wanted to rest. New Year's Eve was the next day and they had planned to spend it in just the two of them as they watched the ball drop. The next day Camryn would go to pick up her dress for the wedding! She was so happy that it was ready and felt she picked the perfect gown for their beach ceremony. Camryn can only pray it won't rain.

Camryn got the invitations sent out for the wedding, checked in with the caterer, and put the final touches on the flowers she ordered. They had registered for their venue months ago, but Camryn felt the pressure of making sure everything was perfect for their big day.  Sawyer focused his attention on his work and received a note from his boss that the island of Sulani was improving, thus it gave a much-needed boost to his work performance! He was excited to reach his New Year Resolution goal of obtaining a promotion, but looks like that might have to wait since he and Camryn's wedding is taking place tomorrow and then after that, they'll enjoy a nice long honeymoon.

New Year's Day!

The wedding day finally arrived and Camryn and Sawyer were up super early out of excitement. It was finally the day they would become husband and wife. They showered and readied themselves for their wedding ceremony by taking care of some last-minute things like laundry and cleaning the house up. Sawyer had been working on building a greenhouse, but in the meantime, they had a compost bucket Camryn was using so she would have some awesome fertilizer for her greenhouse crops once it was ready.   Camryn couldn't wait to make meals with things from their very own garden!

The wedding ceremony was beautiful, even if most of the guests wouldn't sit in their seats. **Why is it sims can't freaking sit down when there is plenty of seating for a ceremony? ** Sawyer thought Camryn looked absolutely stunning in her wedding gown. She had kept it simple so that she could enjoy the beach and the party too. As they exchanged vows, they heard a lot of their family behind them making happy noises at seeing the very happy couple finally wed.
